GrabGrab ("we", "us") operates the GrabGrab mobile app, an on-demand waste-pickup marketplace that connects customers with collectors. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, phone number (optional), and role (customer or collector), which you provide when you register.
- Pickup information — the waste type, estimated volume, pickup address and map location, notes, and photos you attach to a request.
- Location — when you grant permission, we use your device location to set the pickup point and, for collectors, to share your live position with the customer during an active job.
- Photos — images you capture or select to describe the waste ("before" photo) and, for collectors, to prove completion.
- Collector details — vehicle information and availability status.
- Usage & device data — basic technical data needed to operate the service securely.
How we use your information
- To create and manage pickup requests and match customers with collectors.
- To calculate pricing, process the pickup lifecycle, and record payment status.
- To show live tracking, send in-app notifications, and enable ratings.
- To keep the service secure and to comply with legal obligations.
Information sharing
We share the minimum necessary between the two sides of a pickup:
- Before a collector accepts a job, they see only limited, non-identifying details and an approximate location.
- After acceptance, the assigned collector sees the exact pickup address needed to complete the job.
- Customers can see an assigned collector's live location during an active pickup.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the app, or when required by law.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal requirements. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data, except where retention is required by law.
Your rights and choices
- Access & correction — you can view and update your account details in the app.
- Location & camera — you can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.
- Account deletion — you can delete your account and associated personal data from within the app (Account → Delete account) or by emailing us from your registered address.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
GrabGrab is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date above.
